Sudden created this ad driven site to help build retention at Viacom’s ParentsConnect brand, by providing them with a platform where users could upload and store photos, videos and text mementos of family experiences, to create hyperactive, interactive scrapbooks.

  • Created a more personalized and customizable experience than using other existing platforms like YouTube, Flickr or SnapFish.
  • Allows users to spend as much time (or as little) to create a folio that can be personalized to a child’s age, sex and interests.
  • Sudden developed an online media asset library for Lifebook, allowing users to arrange their files by months and by years and have multiple scrapbooks based on themes and children.

Nickelodeon and ParentsConnect came to Sudden to help them develop a new online product for their new community site that would create “stickiness” and prompt users to come back on a regular basis. The site is targeted at young parents (mothers in particular) who are looking for answers and conversation around the common topics of parenting. The challenge of the project was to create an application that would be engaging and interactive enough to prompt this audience create personalized, interactive scrapbooks. Working together with Nickelodeon and their creative team, Sudden developed what would become LifeBook, a web-based interactive scrapbook that allows users to document, personalize and customize their own parenting experience by uploading videos, photos, text and audio of special family moments
