Funbrain, the Internet's #1 educational gaming site for K-8 kids, wanted to attract a new audience of early learners, ages 2 to 6 and their parents. They not only wanted to provide a safe platform for games, stories and printables, but they also wanted to create a unique world that motivated children to play and learn, following in the footsteps of their success with brands like Poptropica and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
With the large number of brands in the marketplace trying to captivate early learners, Sudden knew the best way to get attention was by creating a brand story that resonated with the parents of that audience.
To accomplish that, Sudden created Funbrain Jr., a colorful, engaging and safe fantasy world, populated by a humorous cast of characters including "Brainy Blueberry", "Captain Buckleswash" and "Berry Pinkwad". The characters lead children through early math and literacy games as well as original stories that emphasize creativity, imagination, community and friendship.
Sudden also helped Funbrain strengthen its relationship with parents by developing a Kindergarten Readiness app that provides parents a comprehensive and interactive checklist to assess skills in the areas of early math and literacy; cognitive development; self-care and motor skills; and social/communication skills.
